What Can Attendees Expect After Attending a Preceptorship?

Upon completion of a Basic Preceptorship you will be able to:
  • Return home and comfortably add sclerotherapy skills to your existing practice
  • Clinically assess a new vein patient with history and physical examination
  • Use venous ultrasound and D-PPG to expertly evaluate patients with venous disease
  • Develop a plan of treatment for patients with venous disease
  • Treat reticular veins and spider veins correctly (rather than by a point-and-shoot method)
  • Begin to treat varicose veins as your skill and desire warrants
  • Consider the use of LASER
  • Develop skills which can be advanced with further training to include ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy and endovenous procedures.
  • Successfully promote sclerotherapy as an addition to your current practice using tasteful and professional marketing techniques.
And once back home and practicing for a while we encourage you to:
  • Join the American College of Phlebology (ACP) with Dr. Wilson being your sponsors.
  • Telephone our staff for advice and information and/or to discuss individual patients, generalized patient care and/or the running of your practice.
  • Consider scheduling additional future days of training at a reduced fee should you wish to advance your phlebology skills to a higher level of practice.
